I’ve always had a bit of a Love/Hate relationship with mineral make-up.
I remember the first time I tried it, in the local department store, under the watchful eye of a sales pusher, sorry, I mean ‘assistant’ who decided I should select a shade 5 times darker than my porcelain skin tone. As you can imagine, I hated it.
A year or so later, Robyn introduced me to hear chosen mineral range Lily Lolo, and after a few days I was hooked. And eating my negative words for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
More recently my mum joined the hundreds of mineral lovers, by purchasing a starter kit from Bare Minerals. As any good daughter would, I immediately raided the kit and slowly stole the items for myself.
Luckily for me, my role at QVC for OPI enables me to meet lots of lovely people- including Sarah Jane Froom, international make-up artist for Bare Minerals. Meeting SJ furthered my love for Bare Minerals, and I’m even more hooked than ever!
Now I hear talk of a liquid mineral on the horizon! This September will see the UK launch of Bare Minerals Bare Skin Serum Foundation- which combines a mineral foundation and skincare in one.
Like a mineral powder foundation, coverage is buildable, therefore ideal for natural days and full on Fridays! The formula is unique, without water, oil, silicone, parabens and fragrance- but according to bloggers feels like a silicone primer on application. Bloggers and beauty journo’s have also revealed the finish is natural, with a slight dewy glow.
I cannot wait to get on hands on it!
