Last week I was a very lucky lady indeed, as I was invited to accessorize Mr Flick’s arm at a stunning black tie affair in the pretty town of Shrewsbury. It was time for a sequined cocktail dress, a bouncy blow dry and raid my make-up bag.
I’ve recently picked up a few No7 make-up items, and tonight it was time to drag them all out and create a new smokey look to compliment my vintage frock.

First prepping my skin with their famous Protect and Perfect Advanced Serum and matching Day Cream, I next created some sultry smokiness with Shade and Define. Running along my top and bottom lash line before blending with an eye shadow brush, to create a subtle sweep of colour. I really like the applicator of Shade and Define, which is easy and quick to use. Perfect when getting ready in 10 minutes after a long, hard day in the salon! I finished my lashes with two coats of Lash Impact mascara, which gave a full but clump free finish.
For a flawless base, I pumped for Beautifully Matte foundation, which helped keep my oily T-zone shine-free through lots of champagne drinking and dancing. For a soft, peachy cheek I took a risk and tried Pop and Glow Cream Blusher, which luckily I LOVED!
In need of a kissible pout, I took another risk with the brand new Shine and Tint, which has a balm like texture whilst giving a soft wash of colour. As a typical red lip wearer, I’m used to wearing a long-lasting or stain formula, so as much as I loved the feel of Shine and Tint, I wasn’t prepared for reapplying after every course!

Have you tried creating a look using only one brand? Which brand do you stick to?

I love the Beautifully Matte foundation! Great look xx

Thanks Emily!
It is a fantastic foundation, and is also great when worn with Stay Perfect Primer, I’ve found! X
